Reincarnated as the Son of Conglomerate

Chapter 94 Toss The Coin (V)

Klaus grinned as he looked at Elizabeth in doubt.

Screwing Elizabeth was not his main goal. Klaus just wanted to make Elizabeth know her place. He thought she would back out of the bet after the first toss, but she continued the game until the second round.

From this, he learned that Elizabeth was a self-centered woman. She was a typical person who thought the world revolved around her and people were beneath her. With her high self-esteem and sense of entitlement, Elizabeth was the easiest victim to deceive.

"Raising the stakes? I\'m the highest bet."

Alexa squinted as she heard Elizabeth\'s answer.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but in reality, you\'re not as worth as you think," Klaus quipped.

DABUM!

Thunder boomed as lightning flashed from the sky. People on the street ran while lifting their bags or luggage above their heads, avoiding the rain that was getting heavier. At the same time, the people inside the restaurant began to worry. They knew that the cause of this sudden bad weather was Elizabeth.

According to rumors, Columbus was once hit by a storm for two days and one night because Elizabeth had a broken heart. People made this conclusion because Elizabeth had just broken up with her boyfriend at that time.

And now, Klaus was provoking her. It\'s not impossible that tonight New York would be hit by a hurricane or tornado out of nowhere.

"It seems that David is not the only one who needs to watch his words. Looks like you do too, kid." Cold words escaped the blonde woman\'s mouth.

Klaus chuckled. "Hehe, I\'m just kidding. I\'d love to fuck you, but right now, I need something else. I apologize." His eyes flashed.

"What the hell," Elizabeth seemed to snort in annoyance, but the rain outside was starting to drizzle.

"I have no intention of continuing this game," she continued.

"So, we\'ll book a hotel tonight?" Klaus teased.

Alexa covered her mouth, laughing silently.

Elizabeth hissed. "I\'m withdrawing my bet. You cheated."

"Then why did you agree to participate? Come one!"

Gasping, Elizabeth was about to say something, but she withdrew her words. The rain outside started heavier again.

Klaus let out a deep breath. Meanwhile, Elizabeth could not let go of her gaze at him with an annoyed look.

"We already agreed. Even earlier, you scolded your man for accusing me of cheating. Now you\'re accusing me. You\'re like the weather out there. Always change." Klaus wanted to call the woman "fickle," but he was sure that a typhoon would break out in the middle of Manhattan if he said so.

The blonde woman frowned. "What?"

Klaus clasped his hands and leaned forward. "I\'m disappointed that the leader of one of the five major guilds in the US didn\'t keep her promise."

Of course, his words triggered her. Lightning began to flash in the sky, and the rain returned. Klaus chose the softest words possible to insinuate the woman.

They fell silent, and the air became heavy. The people around pretended to mind their business even though they were secretly eavesdropping. Some people even tried to record secretly. Elizabeth found out and gave them a sharp look. Then, they got scared and dropped their smartphones.

After sighing, Elizabeth made up her mind.

"Alright..."

A smile bloomed on Klaus\' face. "Of course."

"So, what are we betting on this time?"

Oathkeeper was a large guild with abundant funds. Thanks to their finances, they controlled hundreds of small companies under Oathkeeper. Buying one or two small companies was a relatively easy thing for them.

Therefore, Klaus asked Elizabeth to buy a factory for him. Mors Industries had limited funds. Owning a factory required a lot of money, not only a building but also professional labor and machinery.

Elizabeth pursed her lips. "A factory? That\'s not a big deal. Then what do I get if I lose? You\'ve already risked your company. Don\'t tell me you\'re going to quit the Lee Family and refuse the inheritance. If yes, forget it. There\'s nothing in it for me at all."

Of course, Klaus wouldn\'t be that stupid. He knew something else Elizabeth wanted. Something hard for her to resist.

"When my father dies, I will inherit LR Electronics and all his shares. If you win this game, I will give you my inheritance."

Naturally, Elizabeth was wide-eyed, as was Alexa.

Klaus was betting on LR Electronic.

If an analogy was made, Mors Industries was like a baby who had just learned to crawl, while LR Electronic was an adult who could run. This company was one of the LR Enterprise subsidiaries that contributed great wealth to Robert Lee.

Every year, they could make billions of dollars from selling electronic goods. Even the devices for dungeon use, such as smartlinks, were mostly created by LR Electronic.

Even though Mors Industries created a significant breakthrough invention, still, it could not compete with the giant company led by his father.

Who wouldn\'t be tempted to get this giant company?

While Elizabeth smiled broadly, Alexa was upset.

"Klaus! You\'re crazy enough to risk yours, and now you want to risk the family company? It\'s unbelievable." Alexa subconsciously pulled on her clothes.

Klaus remained silent and smiled at the bespectacled woman. "Take it easy. Everything will be fine."

"How can I relax? You\'re risking a company with a valuation that might touch a trillion. You\'re insane!"

Alexa was frustrated, but Klaus just responded with a smile.

"HAHA! Fine, I agree!" Elizabeth confidently laughed evilly. For her, it was like seeing a jackpot in front of her face. This time she would take advantage of this opportunity.

"But this time, I\'ll toss the coin," Elizabeth continued. "If you refuse, I am not in."

"Okay, deal."

Klaus then tossed the coin to Elizabeth. She looked at Klaus with a suspicious look.

Smiling, Klaus said, "Go ahead and check it until you\'re satisfied. There is nothing on that coin."

The blonde woman flipped through the coin, checking if some mark or particular device was tucked inside.

Not only was the blonde woman curious about the coin, but Alexa was curious as well. She knew Klaus was different from the type of guy to rely on luck. He was a calculative and cautious person. He prepared a plan under his sleeve.

Elizabeth\'s eyes lingered on the coin for a long moment before she placed it on the tip of her thumb. Confident that there was nothing on it, Elizabeth tossed the coin, and it spun in the air. She concentrated, trying to manage the spin of the coin. She could feel the coin spinning at her will in that split second.

As the coin landed on the back of his hand, his other hand quickly covered it. Smirking, a good feeling rose to her chest. She knew which side was facing up.

The blonde-haired woman squeezed her hand in excitement.

Klaus raised his eyebrows. "You seem to be very happy. Do you control the spin of the coin?"

Squinting, Elizabeth was surprised to hear that. "Watch what you say, you little shit. Don\'t confuse me with you."

Klaus just nodded. Meanwhile, the woman in glasses squinted in suspicion. Alexa read the situation, and their faces said as if they both won this bet.

"What\'s your guess?" asked Elizabeth

"Tail."

After Klaus gave his guess, Elizabeth tried to hold back her laughter. Because she knew the side of the coin facing up was the head.

"I pick head. Now we\'ll see who loses."

After opening her hand, Elizabeth exclaimed, "I win!"

The woman laughed so loudly as Joy overflowed in her chest. Her voice echoed throughout the restaurant, drawing the customers\' attention around. At the same time, outside, the rain stopped, and the daylight shone brightly in the sky.

Like hitting the lottery, Elizabeth had gotten a giant company that ruled the electronics market just from a coin toss bet. She hit the jackpot.

At least, that\'s what she thought.

Klaus stood up and looked at the coin. "Uh, Miss Elizabeth. I don\'t want to interrupt your euphoria. But you didn\'t win."

Naturally, Elizabeth looked at her hand immediately. Her eyes opened wide as she saw the coin\'s tail side facing upwards. Wondering herself, she twisted her face in confusion. She was sure that she had controlled the spin of the coin so that the head side was facing up when it landed. But the opposite was true.

Something wrong had just happened. She stared like a fool, even more so after confidently voicing her victory.

Curious, Alexa stood up and looked at the coin. "Uh, right. You lost."

Alexa\'s words woke Elizabeth up from her shock. Her eyes quickly fell on Klaus with anger.

DABUM.

Thunder rumbled in the clear sky. Not long after, dark clouds covered it, and heavy rain fell. It was the umpteenth rainstorm.

"How? How could I lose?" Elizabeth groaned.

Klaus smiled and said, "I don\'t know. Maybe I\'m just lucky."
